When Heidi came in she told us where
she worked, which was an energy efficiency company (EECA). Then she told us that we should swap our light-bulbs to the modern ones because the old
ones use a lot more energy than the modern ones. They are also a lot cheaper to
run a year. The bulbs are now $5.00 but the old ones cost $25.00. But if you are
going to buy one you should buy one that says energy star on it.
There are also energy vampires that
just sit in heaters and waste electricity. Energy vampires are the lights on
heaters that waste electricity. So turn things off at the wall. Matai and Kahikatea did a spot the difference
of ways to save electricity in your house. On one side they were saving electricity.
If you have a sticker on your washing machine or fridge the stars that are
coloured in means it is more efficient.
